Secret Garden Films LLC was incorporated at the beginning of 2006 by Susan Fink, with the aim of creating films that are both thought-provoking and profitable. American tastes in film have changed over the years, millions of Americans are now interested in seeing movies that raise questions, posit ideas and teach through exhibiting different aspects of life. We at Secret Garden Films view filmmaking as a journey where the final product can be one that achieves both financial and creative success. As the majority of movie tickets are now sold outside the U.S., another one of our key aims is to make films that the whole world can embrace.

Secret Garden Films seeks integrity above all, as we are primarily interested in projects that have the potential to impact audiences. To further this goal, we intend to emphasize projects that involve quality screenwriting and production, and superior documentary filmmaking, not exempting projects that might interest us such as music videos or even photography projects.

With the huge increase in pay-per-view and video-on-demand programming and distributors such as Netflix providing such easy and available good service, and the explosion of modern communication (the internet, blogs, chatrooms, blackberries, and text messaging), audiences have become more movie-educated, more discerning, and consequently quicker to spread word about good, and more particularly, bad films.

Our mission at Secret Garden Films is to make movies that we love, that are distinctive, provocative and engaging, which have great structure, character and dialogue, and which provide meaning and have an emotional impact on the viewer -- one we hope will enrich their lives.

Prior to starting Secret Garden Films LLC, President Susan Fink has worked on and produced Accelerated Under-Development (1998), An Injury to One (2001), and Who Killed Cock Robin (2005). These films were seen at over 100 festivals internationally, including screenings at the Sundance and Toronto Film Festivals.

Vice President Emerson Machtus has been actively working in the Film Business for over 12 years in different capacities including film production, creative development, acquisitions, international sales, film distribution and financing in Mexico, Spain, London and Los Angeles.
